cryptoGlance started as a hack-a-thon project at a former workplace with 2 other developers who were interested in the new world of cryptocurrency. Mining was a new concept, which involves using hardware to compute and solve math problems, thus minting new coins and securing the network.
The web-based app was fully designed by myself, and ran on a PHP backend. Before Electron was a thing, bringing webapps to the desktop, we used a similar PHP-based tool to distribute an easy-to-install package on various platforms.
cryptoGlance taught me a truckload about launching a webapp from beginning to end, across multiple platforms, including mobile devices. I even published a simple WebView app in Google Play.
