This was the literal first website that I ever created (in Microsoft FrontPage Express 2.0)… it all started here for me! Back in 1996, only about a year after saving up and purchasing my own first Windows PC, I quickly became a fan of Quake 2 with its ground-breaking online play.
“Clans” were established back then, which was basically a team of players who gathered often to play together. This site taught me the very fundamentals of the web, namely HTML. It was before CSS and Javascript, and about the most complex part here was… frames!
BTW, it is “best viewed at 1024 x 768 in High Colour on Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0” 😆
